The scope of this program is mathematics for business, management, manufacturing, maintenance, logistics & operations. The content of this program is dynamic and will change.
The need for higher mathematics skills is recognised as a gap that needs to be addressed, irrespective of our age or industry.
Mathematics is often overlooked because we find it difficult, do not understand or simply do not know about possible mathematics solutions. It is aimed at technical and financial mathematics from about Year 10 to entry into more advanced courses. To some it will be refresher education to others it will be new material.
We need to be as fluent in mathematics as part of our native language. We need to apply our learning of mathematics as we would to learning language or music. This is a situated course because it applies to your needs. If you work in a robot environment, the mathematics of robots can be included.
The following topics form the basis of course work to be meet the needs of the learner.
The range and depth of material will be supplemented by situated needs workshops. Not all situations will be the same.
